The Role
We're seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) to lead the Internal Audit and Risk Management functions across the entire Bega Group.
Reporting to the CFO, this role plays a critical part in shaping a resilient organisation by proactively managing risks and supporting executive and senior leadership in areas such as Group Policies, Compliance, and Strategy development. The CIA provides comprehensive governance support to the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified and managed effectively across the group.
This is a Hybrid role with 4 days working from the office and 1 day working from home.
Responsibilities
o Lead Internal Audit and Risk Management efforts across the Bega Group, including full support for Audit and Risk Committees.
o Provide strategic risk advice and reporting to the Board, Committees, and Executive Leadership Team.
o Oversee integration of risk, audit, compliance, and policy into strategic planning and decision-making forums.
o Manage Group Policy Strategy and ensure effective policy governance.
o Deliver independent assurance over the effectiveness of risk controls through the audit function.
About you
o Extensive experience in internal auditing and risk management, with a CA qualification (preferred).
o Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and succinctly.
o Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders including Board and Executive teams.
o Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
o Passionate about building resilient organisations through insight, initiative, and innovation.
