We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. You will support a range of NDIS participants with diverse and complex needs — including community participation, mealtime management, medication management, diabetes and complex health supports, and mental health awareness and recovery-focused support.
You'll work closely with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred support in alignment with individual NDIS plans.
* Assist participants with community access, transport, and social inclusion.
* Support with mealtime management and ensure dietary, allergy, and swallowing plans are followed.
* Provide medication management support, including medication prompting, recording, and administration (as per training and policy).
* Deliver diabetes and complex health supports, including blood glucose monitoring (where appropriate) and documentation.
* Provide mental health support, encouraging emotional regulation, coping strategies, and engagement in meaningful daily activities.
* Implement behaviour support strategies in line with behaviour support plans (if applicable).
* Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and incident reports.
* Communicate effectively with participants, families, and allied health professionals.
* Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries at all times.
