Newcastle Private is currently seeking experienced guest services professionals to join our dynamic team in a casual capacity.
We are searching for team members experienced in high-level cleaning, preferably with hospital or similar experience, to work across a rotating 7-day roster including mornings, evenings, and nights. Successful applicants may also be trained for further work in the Food Services Department.

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses, and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189-bed, acute, private hospital co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite with 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty cancer care with inpatient and day infusion services.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing high standards of cleaning services
Operating in line with infection control standards and WHS policies & procedures
Delivering excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
Adhering to all manual handling protocols
Assisting production teams to ensure patient satisfaction
Working according to Healthscope’s policies, code of conduct, and participating in performance reviews and mandatory education
Supporting safety and quality improvements, including Work Health & Safety
What you'll need to succeed
Experience as a cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital, aged care, or medical setting
Enthusiasm, drive, and passion for maintaining high standards
Good communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to work Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster, including afternoon, evening, and occasional night shifts
