Established FMCG business is recruiting a Sales Manager
1. Established telecommunications equipment manufacturer and supplier
2. Position based in South-East Sydney
3. Around $170k total package (with flexibility depending on experience)
The Company
Our client is a long standing telecommunications equipment manufacturer and supplier of over 40 years, based in South-East Sydney. They manufacture and supply Transmission Components, Devices and Radio Communication Antennas Systems to various industries.
The Role
Due to continued growth in the business, there is an opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager role requires a motivated individual with strong leadership and commercial acumen to manage the sales function of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Radio Communications Industry.
Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will have strategic and leadership responsibility for the sales function:
4. Managing 2 direct reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams
5. Full responsibility of sales team including budget setting, sales forecasting and sector analysis
6. Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue and close sales deals
7. Leading the national sales effort; supervising, monitoring and motivating team performance
8. Management and delivery of agreed strategic plans and sales strategy
9. Involvement in preparing action plans for individuals
10. Key liaison for the development and implementation of strategic sales plans
Skills and Experience
11. 5+ years' sales management experience within the radio communications industry or similar
12. Strong leadership skills
13. Proven track record of achieving sales targets
14. Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
15. Excellent communication skills
