About the Company
Western Australian Specialty Alloys (WASA) is an international market leader in the production of superalloys for forging and ring rolling applications for a range of aerospace, power generation and oil & gas applications. We are a fully owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) a US manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon.
Airbus, Boeing, GE, Rolls-Royce and many other leading manufacturers depend on PCC for critical airframe, engine, power generation and general industrial components. With few exceptions, every aircraft in the sky flies with parts manufactured by PCC.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to partner with leaders, support our people, and contribute to a high-performing and engaged workplace.
Please note that this role is being advertised as both full‐time and part‐time, and can be tailored for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be expected to work in alignment with our core values: Courage, Ownership, Collaboration, Integrity, and Innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention initiatives
* Managing performance, talent, development and succession processes
* Providing advice on employee and industrial relations matters
* Supporting HR policy, compliance and continuous improvement
* Building strong partnerships with leaders across the business
* Leading and developing a small HR team across both WASA sites
* Overseeing HR reporting and maintaining accurate employee records
* Other duties within skills, knowledge and abilities as required by the management
About You
* Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar capacity, ideally with 5+ years' experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management
* Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and HRMIS platforms
* Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation and industrial awards
* Experience in HR policy development and implementation
* Experience using psychometric assessment tools
* Experience advocating on matters before the Fair Work Commission
