Salary Range - Minimum 29.45 per hour

* Permanent Part time role
* Shifts: Thursday (0730-1430) & Friday (0800-1500)
* Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)

About The Role

The Cook plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The cook prepares appetizing and well-balanced meals while fostering positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

* Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
* Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
* Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
* Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
* Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Skills & Experience

* Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
* Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
* Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
* Friendly and effective communication abilities.
