About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Basis Engineer – ERP Monitoring to support a high-profile government client. Key responsibilities include: Upgrading and implementing SAP systems with minimal business disruption. Providing technical support and troubleshooting within the SAP Basis environment. Monitoring system performance and conducting regular health checks. Managing SAP security settings and user administration. Developing and testing backup and recovery procedures. Leading smaller SAP Basis projects and mentoring junior team members. Maintaining documentation and conducting knowledge transfer. Communicating effectively with stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions. The Successful Candidate To be successful in this role, you must: Be an Australian Citizen with an active AGSVA Baseline Clearance (NV1 preferred or eligibility to obtain). Have a strong background in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, security, and recovery planning. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a high-stakes environment. Be a confident communicator, capable of engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Exhibit leadership qualities, with experience mentoring junior staff and leading smaller projects. Be diligent, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
