Service Technician Job Description
This position is ideal for individuals who are skilled in providing technical assistance and support to clients. The Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing mission-critical systems, including security, wireless communication, and low-voltage cable infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data communication systems, including security and wireless communication. They will also possess excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform repair, maintenance, and installation of mission-critical systems
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with systems and equipment
* Complete preventative maintenance and system upgrades as required
* Produce accurate documentation of service performed on calls or tasks
* Provide daily updates and communication to the Service Team Lead for assigned calls or tasks
Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 2-4 years' experience with low-voltage/data communication systems, including security (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion) and wireless communication
* Strong understanding of data communication systems and network protocols
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
* Industry/manufacturer certifications
* Firestop Certified (Hilti or 3M)
* Boom and scissor Lift Certified
