Community Safety Volunteer - Policing Role
This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by contributing to crime prevention initiatives and providing support to victims of crime.
* Preventative measures will be implemented in collaboration with local authorities.
* Victims of crime will receive information and assistance as required.
* Home and business security assessments will be conducted to identify potential vulnerabilities.
* Security alerts and presentations will be delivered to community groups to raise awareness and promote safety.
* Liaison with community groups will facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
* Customer service and administrative support will be provided to police officers to ensure efficient operations.
To be successful in this role, volunteers must possess maturity, reliability, computer literacy, physical and medical fitness, and a willingness to adapt to various tasks. The commitment involves regular participation for more than six months, with a minimum of four hours per week. Training is provided, including a mandatory four-day program that equips volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge.
