About the roles
Join a vibrant and supportive Music team in the scenic surrounds of Geelong, where creativity and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking 3 highly experienced, casual music tutors to start in Term 1 2026 to contribute to our Upper Strings, DJ & Sound Production, and Piano & Accompaniment guiding students as they explore music across classical, contemporary, and digital pathways in the cocurricular space.
Please note, days and the hours are subject to student enrolments in lessons and to room availability.
Upper Strings Teacher
Inspire students through engaging violin and viola instruction, building solid musicianship, confidence, and ensemble skills.
DJ Deck & Sound Production Teacher
Teach core DJ techniques—including mixing and cueing and introduce students to essential music production tools and processes.
Piano Teacher & Accompanist
Provide high-quality piano tuition and support the school’s music activities through rehearsal accompaniment and performance preparation.
About You
The successful applicant requires:
- A current Victorian WWCC (Employment) and a National Police Records Check
- A proven record of excellence in tutoring and performance skills gained through training or experience
- A dynamic manner with the ability to relate well to students of all abilities and to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Experience in tuition of individual students and small groups within our Classroom Instrumental Programme.
- Participation in rehearsals, concerts, and Music events
- Ensemble direction and conducting skills will be considered advantageous
- VIT registration and a music education or tertiary music degree will be highly desired
- In the eventuation of a formal interview, candidates should expect to be observed tutoring several one-to-one lessons, with students ranging in experience and age (Years 2-12).
