The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for unloading & treating wastewater in our wastewater treatment plant. Your duties will include repairs & maintenance of plant equipment as required, forklift operation, truck unloading, and basic water testing. There may be occasions where you will be required to work weekends to complete maintenance work.
Knowledge and experience of pump usage and maintenance/repairs.
Understanding of basic laboratory tests and interpretation of results.
Good verbal and written communication skills ensuring information is conveyed clearly and concisely.
A pleasant demeanor when dealing with customers.
Ability to work within a small team environment.
A mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
Desirable Skills but not essential
Experience and understanding of wastewater treatment plant operations and equipment.
Excavator ticket and/or experience.
HR truck license with satisfactory RMS record.
Liquid Tanker and Vacuum tanker experience.
