We are currently seeking a HC/forklift driver/ yard attendant to work at our Depot in Whyalla. Must have HC license.
We are a general freight company that services Whyalla daily. Our Whyalla depot operates from 6:00am to until freight deliveries are completed. Monday to Friday.
We are looking for someone that is reliable and has a genuine interest in gaining long term employment. This position is advertised as a casual position however with the right candidate could become full time. You would need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, trustworthy and be cable of thinking about the tasks ahead, show good communication skills, have good time management, be punctual and be able to follow instructions when given. It is very important that you have the ability to conduct yourself in a polite and respectful manner when dealing with management, co-workers and customers.
Duties included - but not limited to
Semi- Rigid - ute pickup and deliveries in and around Whyalla
Daily loading and unloading of open trailers and tautliner traliers.
recording weights and measurements of freight and record this on delivery dockets.
filling in load delivery manifests with delivery times
handle all freight will care to avoid damage and if damage goods are delivered seek instruction on whether to accept/deliver goods.
keep all vehicles and work areas clean, tidy and maintained.
work unsupervised.
