Your Impact
You will play a pivotal role within Group Accounting, leading the monthly consolidation process and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to Asahi Group Holdings. You will take ownership of key technical accounting deliverables, with a strong focus on impairment testing, ensuring robust analysis, well-supported accounting papers, and high-quality reporting outcomes.
You will have a central role in maintaining the integrity of Group results, strengthening governance and controls, and partnering effectively across finance to deliver insight, compliance, and continuous improvement in line with Asahi's high-performance culture.
About the Role
* Lead monthly Group consolidation and reporting to Asahi Group Holdings, preparing complex consolidation journals (JV accounting, pensions, earnouts, dividends, share-based payments, financial instruments).
* Provide monthly and quarterly commentary on balance sheet, cashflow, and P&L movements for senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.
* Prepare year-end Group financial statements for Oceania and coordinate audits of domestic and foreign entities.
* Take ownership of key technical accounting deliverables, including impairment testing, M&A accounting, intra-group royalties, and intercompany eliminations.
* Ensure governance and compliance, including JSOX control adherence, balance sheet reconciliations, and policy updates.
* Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries and maintain audit readiness.
* Drive process improvements, standardising reporting, month-end close, intercompany, and royalty processes in line with Group best practice.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships across Group finance teams, Tax, Treasury, and other business areas to support accurate, timely, and high-quality financial outcomes.
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise, including large group consolidation, accounting standards, and financial governance.
* Ideally, significant experience in finance manager (or equivalent) roles, in FMCG or multinational environments, with exposure to offshore or regional teams.
* Proven ability to lead consolidation, reporting, impairment testing, and complex accounting transactions.
* Experienced in driving process improvements, standardisation, and implementing sustainable finance procedures.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills, able to simplify complex financial concepts and influence decisions.
* Proficient in ERP and Group Consolidation Reporting systems (e.g., HFM, SAP) with the ability to evaluate and enhance financial processes.
* Suitable for first or second movers from chartered firms.
