About the opportunity
* To provide high quality Oral Health Therapy services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), at fixed and mobile dental clinics to eligible clients of the Oral Health Program, as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.
* To promote oral health at an individual, community and population level within the THHS of Queensland Health.
About the unit
* The Oral Health Unit advocates, facilitates and supports the state-wide delivery of Oral Health services and the achievements of targets in Oral Health treatment and prevention. Public Sector Oral Health Services include, but are not limited to:
* The promotion of Oral Health in the community.
* The education of the community in regard to Oral Health.
* The prevention of Oral disease.
* The diagnosis and treatment and/or referral of all forms of oral disease and conditions.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a permanent full-time role, based in Ayr (North Queensland).

Requirements:
* This position requires the incumbent to possess a minimum Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy or relevant equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Possession of a 'C' Class drivers licence is highly desirable.
* Undertake training and travel associated within Townsville Hospital and Health Service Policy.
* Working across the different clinics in the Townsville region is a requirement of this role.
* Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.
