Hedweld Engineering is a family-owned and world-renowned Australian manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in producing top-notch products for the mining sector.
This role will form part of the senior management team and be based at our Mount Thorley site. You will be responsible for leading the Group Supply Chain Operations team to deliver operational functionality and supply continuity for the business.
We are seeking someone with analytical skills, who can make decisions based on strategic and operational data. The ideal candidate should have future-focused thinking, strong relationships, and effective communication and leadership skills.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Developing strategic plans to optimise cost and efficiency of end-to-end supply chain.
* Undertaking sourcing exercises to identify, review, and select appropriate vendors for tenders and continual improvement.
* Leading improvement programs, including reducing waste, improving service levels, and identifying ways to improve financial performance.
* Coordinating with local and international stakeholders to support inventory needs and aid global development of efficient inventory model.
* Providing leadership around Supply Chain Team thinking around new and innovative ways to deliver product and service outcomes which provide competitive advantage
* Identifying and understanding the supplier risk landscape within Hedweld Group and ensuring all supplier risks are identified, measured, and monitored.
The successful candidate will require a minimum of 3 years' experience gained in a similar position, along with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing, tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, and demonstrated people and financial management skills. Additionally, they will need excellent communication skills, experience in ERP, and demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate regulatory environment. A current Driver's license and advanced Microsoft Office skills are also essential.
