Nathan River Mine Site | FIFO 2:2 ex-Darwin
Nathan River Resources is the proud owner and operator of the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine, located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin. With our dedicated in-house mine, marine, and trans-shipment divisions, we manage a fleet of mine and marine assets driving long-term success.
Following the successful operational kick-off in 2023 and the completion of our Phase 2 expansion, we are now seeking experienced Excavator Operators and Moxy (Truck) Operators to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work through the 2025/26 wet season with a stable and expanding operation.
Darwin based preferable.
About the Roles
Excavator Operators
Mining complex ore seams and bulk shifting waste, including double benching operations.
Working closely with senior geologists and the survey team to deliver consistent ore feed to the processing team.
Moxy Operators
Operating articulated dump trucks in a production mining environment.
All Roles
Contribute to safe and efficient mining practices.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and production teams to meet targets.

About You
RII Surface Extraction qualification or VOC of equipment
Minimum 12 months open-pit mining experience
Strong understanding of mining safety procedures & policies
Capacity to work 12-hour shifts in FIFO/DIDO rosters
Motivated and committed to contributing to a growing operation
NT residents strongly encouraged to apply
