EGM Partners are working with TAFE SA to recruit a Faculty Dean specifically covering Engineering, Defence and Primary Industry. This critical newly created role will provide academic and fiscal leadership whilst building strong relationships with industry, community and other government agencies.

**About The Role**
With exciting growth and projects in SA's major economic sectors - defence, energy, farming, now is the time to come on board and support TAFE SA's next phase of growth.
The role will provide academic, programmatic, managerial and fiscal leadership whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with industry, community and other government agencies. It will lead a state-wide team of Lecturers and Academic Administrators to develop and deliver innovative training programs in Engineering, Defence and Primary Industry.
This role will develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with partners through regular communication and liaison with relevant stakeholders. It will also help achieve the overall commercial targets for the Faculty.
**Key Role Outcomes**
- Provide proactive leadership and management to ensure training programs within the School meet their educational, organisations and financial outcomes
- Lead and drive change in line with TAFE SA Strategic Plan and the State's Skills Strategy
- Instil a commercial culture amongst staff so that the School competes effectively and meets financial, performance and customer responsiveness KPIs
- Develop and enhance the public image and reputation of the School across the State and nationally
- Engage across industry sectors to ensure that the School meets current and future training needs of industry, and the priorities of Government
- Lead major improvements in education and training practices through a variety of delivery options and partnerships, with a focus on commercial viable and high-quality delivery.
**About You**
You are a proven leader from within the engineering, defence or primary industry sector. You thrive on high energy within a high performing team and delivering creative solutions to large and small partners. This role will require you to both—actively support current partners and programs and pursue new opportunities.
You will ideally have an understanding of the vocational or higher education sector but this is not essential and prior experience managing large and complex teams. You are a diligent and adaptable individual with a strong track record of achievement in a similar role. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excel at building meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
**You will possess the following**
- Experience in delivering commercial outcomes within a workforce focussed on providing contemporary products and services;
- Knowledge and understanding of the engineering, defence and primary industry sectors;
- Strong leadership and management skills with an emphasis on financial sustainability;
- Excellent relationship building skills for internal and external bodies at all levels to achieve business outcomes.
