Initial roster will be 5/2: 4/3 (day shifts only) for the first 6 weeks before transitioning to a 2:2 roster. Full camp facilities located close to site in the small town of Wickham (30 minutes north of Karratha City). Candidates must not have any upcoming leave in the next 6 months to be able to complete training.Duties:This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to safety to be part of a collaborative team.As a Train Examiner, you would be accountable for delivering drivers to locomotives, managing train arrivals/departures including shunting trains and minor mechanical maintenance repairs.Presentation of incoming trains to car dumpers and preparation for train departures to the mines.Adherence to regulations and procedures is mandatory as heavy vehicle interactions are constant throughout the day.Skills and ExperienceMandatory:Ability to pass a Cat1 Rail MedicalPositive attitude and strong work ethicAdaptability and willingness to learnPhysically fitExperience working in a hot environmentAbility to work in a team environmentMust be able to perform shift workCommitted to safe working practicesPreferred but not essential:Previous mining experienceMechanical knowledgeWhat's In It For YouEntry level position into the mining industryOpportunity to go permanent with our clientFIFO from Perth with camp providedApply NowClick onto the apply button.
