As a Road Maintenance Operator, you'll be an essential part of our road maintenance teams. Your role involves performing maintenance and improvement works in Council's road reserves, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to established work practices and policies. Your knowledge of road maintenance techniques and strong communication skills will be invaluable.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine road maintenance tasks following Moreland's Road Asset Management Plan and road maintenance guidelines.
- Repair and install road signs, street furniture, fences, and guardrails.
- Drive and operate trucks up to 22400 GVM, including towing.
- Operate ride-on rollers for compacting road materials.
- Conduct daily checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting any faults.
- Assist in various tasks, including labouring, and erecting roadwork signs.
- Operate small plant equipment as needed.
**About You**:
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence with a minimum Heavy Rigid Truck Licence endorsement.
- Competence in operating asphalt and concrete cutting machines.
- Proficiency in smooth drum and other roller operation for road maintenance and construction.
- Safe and competent driving and operation of vehicles up to 22400GVM.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised, as part of a team, and use small plant and hand tools.
- Self-motivated with knowledge of Road Maintenance techniques.
- Experience in road maintenance and construction, including road signage set out.
- Current White/Red card.
