About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team at JML Trades in Queanbeyan East, NSW. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in managing our accounts and payroll functions.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing all accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
* Preparing financial reports and assisting with budgeting and forecasting
* Handling payroll processing and employee-related matters such as leave management and onboarding
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
* Providing support and guidance to your accounts junior administrator
* Continuously improving financial and HR processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
* Manage quarterly BAS, IAS and EOFY preparations
* Collecting and following up payments from clients and suppliers

What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounts role preferably in the trade/construction industry
* Strong proficiency in financial accounting, payroll, and HR administration
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
* Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with relevant accounting software such as Xero and Wise
* Intermediate level proficiency in Xero is required
