ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned SharePoint Architect to lead the implementation and consolidation of a modern Microsoft SharePoint and Teams environment. This role is crucial for uplifting our digital collaboration standards and establishing robust governance across the enterprise. The successful candidate will transition existing legacy content and solutions into the new platform while driving user adoption and providing essential post-go-live support.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Serve as the liaison between senior IT and Business leaders, regularly attending steering committees, and acting as a management consultant to business content owners for effective requirements gathering and collaboration strategy.
Execute the migration of automated workflows and digital application components (Power Automate and PowerApps) into the new environment, and migrate existing SharePoint sites and Teams data into the updated platform instance.
Oversee the creation, permission assignment, provisioning, and necessary customization and testing for all new SharePoint sites across the Australian business unit.
Develop and execute the user adoption plan and create comprehensive training materials; lead the uplift and implementation of new SharePoint governance processes, including the re-branding of the entire digital environment.
Handle user and staff queries via the enterprise ticketing system (ServiceNow), create handover documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides, and provide necessary Hypercare support.
MORE ABOUT YOU
Proven experience as a SharePoint Architect or Senior Consultant specializing in modern SharePoint Online and Teams implementations.
Demonstrable expertise in managing complex stakeholder engagement, including presenting to executive levels and driving consensus among business content owners.
Hands-on technical proficiency with
Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate)
migration strategies.
Strong understanding of site provisioning, permissions modeling, and customization within SharePoint Online.
Prior experience developing and delivering change management programs, adoption plans, and training materials.
Proficiency in managing and resolving incidents using a major ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).
Ability to produce high-quality documentation for handover and long-term knowledge retention.
