Job Description:

Lead our workshop team in Western Australia, ensuring our fleet is repaired, serviced, and maintained to the highest standards.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our Regional Service and Area Manager to align workshop output with customer demand and equipment pipelines, helping to shape daily priorities and maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a large workshop team with a strong safety-first culture.

Provide expert guidance on diagnostics and equipment servicing to meet customer requirements.

Oversee branch asset maintenance, fleet management, and servicing schedules.

Drive productivity and performance across the workshop.

Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Actively plan equipment repairs, maintenance, and service needs in line with customer demands.

Contribute to the achievement of operational excellence in the workshop; ensure all work practices are cost-effective and maximize fleet availability; R&M Management in line with branch revenue and redline targets.

Requirements:

Mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Fitter Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic) is essential.

Proven experience in successfully managing a workshop environment (preferred but not essential).

Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and performance.

Excellent planning, time management, and cost control abilities.

Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Effective troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance skills.

Experience with equipment hire product ranges (desirable).
