Job Opportunity
This position involves working in gardens, maintaining equipment, and transporting residents on scheduled outings.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks
2. Replanting garden beds and seasonal upkeep duties
3. Pruning trees and shrubs for optimal health
4. Lawn mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control activities
5. Clearing garden refuse from the premises
6. Path, drain, and edge repairs to maintain a safe environment
7. Maintaining fences and retaining walls to prevent damage
8. Routine repairs and trade-related maintenance duties
9. Planning and scheduling machinery servicing to ensure efficiency
10. Driving the bus for resident outings when required
To succeed in this role, you should be approachable, reliable, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, or related field (highly regarded)
* Experience in general and commercial maintenance and gardening
* Knowledge of trade resources and suppliers
* Current manual driver's license
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
