Electrical Design Engineer
As our new Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.
Responsibilities
* In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects
* Fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards
* Client interfacing
* Experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
* Experience with power systems software
Qualifications
* Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
* Minimum of 5 years' post graduate experience working on industrial projects, delivering process plant projects, energy sector, water sector or mining projects ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules
* Applied knowledge of 'in-plant' electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems
* Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067
* Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design
* Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to support project deliverables
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Understanding of renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, Hazardous Areas, and Functional Safety would be viewed favourably
