Overview
HealthShare NSW is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waste Handler / Driver to support patients and operations at Ryde Hospital, Eastwood. This role involves collecting waste from disposal rooms and storage areas and transporting it to collection and processing points. Waste streams include general waste, recyclables, clinical and related wastes, and soiled linen. The role also includes maintaining the waste area, vehicles and equipment, including bins, in a clean and tidy state.
Responsibilities
* Collect and transport waste streams (general, recyclables, clinical and related wastes, soiled linen) from disposal rooms and storage areas.
* Operate a truck or tug to move waste to collection and processing points.
* Maintain the waste area, vehicles and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications
* Class C NSW driver\'s licence is required.
* Shifts on a rotating roster; availability from 7:30am to 4pm on a 7 day basis.

Classification: Motor Vehicle Driver 2951-4650
Employment type: Part Time Exempt (contract up to June 2028) and Permanent Part Time
Hours per week: Part Time Exempt 20 hours per week; Permanent Part Time 8 and 16 hours per week
Remuneration: $32.04 per hour plus shift allowances and 12% superannuation
Location: Ryde Hospital, Eastwood

Note: One of these roles is exempt (contract end date) and there may be opportunities for conversion to permanent employment at the same grade.
