Overview
Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia.
We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.
There is a vacancy within the casual pool of technical offices within the SCH Sleep unit.
You will be working with a dynamic team to perform sleep studies on children.
This will include afternoon and night duties.
What you'll be doing
A Technical officer in Sleep medicine is responsible for the provision of high quality patient care.
They are expected to possess knowledge in the procedures, methodology and theory pertaining to sleep study testing and take responsibility for routine diagnostic and treatment (including CPAP and non-invasive ventilation) tests performed.
A Sleep Technologist is required to work on a casual basis as required by the operation or demand of the position.
This might include on-call availability to ensure effective service delivery.
About You
A qualification in Science or Health related field
Clear understanding of AASM scoring guidelines, ability to follow centre specific scoring guidelines.
Experience working as a Sleep Technician performing sleep study setup, computerised sleep monitoring, and PAP titration of patients overnight.
