Senior Legal Counsel | Global Brand | Brisbane
Our client is a leading Australian brand with a growing international footprint, now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Brisbane head office. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high‑impact in‑house legal role, supporting a dynamic consumer business operating across key global markets including Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia.
The Opportunity
This is a broad and hands‑on role offering exposure to a variety of legal and commercial work. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing practical legal advice that supports strategic decision‑making, operational efficiency, and brand protection in a fast‑paced and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and enforce a global IP portfolio (trade marks, designs, copyright)
* Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across supply, logistics, marketing, IT, and more
* Advise on advertising, influencer campaigns, and promotional activity across multiple jurisdictions
* Support regulatory compliance, including labelling, packaging and product standards
* Provide guidance on privacy and data protection frameworks (AU, US, EU)
* Manage insurance coverage and claims processes
* Coordinate external legal providers and streamline internal legal operations
About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute and collaborative legal professional who brings:
* 7+ years’ post‑admission experience (private practice and/or in‑house)
* Strong commercial drafting skills and the ability to work autonomously
* IP, privacy or consumer law experience (highly regarded)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
