About the Project Officer, Indigenous Health Role
This part-time Fixed term until 31 December 2026 position at Deakin University is responsible for supporting the cultural safety of future health professionals and to attract and support First Nations students into the School of Medicine.
The role involves working with the Indigenous Health academic team to develop the cultural safety of students, community and partners. As a system to reformat text and improve it, you will:
* Coach and guide team members to deliver against individual, team and University goals.
* Role model professional and ethical behaviours by consulting available sources and seeking expertise as appropriate.
* Communicate effectively with customers by clarifying expectations and responding promptly to requests.
* Presentation information in a clear and structured way to ensure that messages delivered are understood.
* Maintain positive relationships and support team members in times of pressure and change.
To be successful, you'll have:
* Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
* Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
* An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
* Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment involving face to face, phone and written issues.
