We are currently seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems.
About the Role
As a Boiler Technician, your primary responsibility will be to check and maintain boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation. This will involve monitoring coal usage, chemical controls, soot blowing, water softener tests, and blow-down procedures.
* Cleaning soot and maintaining boiler performance to maximize efficiency;
* Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimize downtime;
* Using your strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently;
* Informing the Maintenance Supervisor of repairs and required maintenance;
* Working closely with the Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives;
* Collaborating with team members in a constructive and supportive environment;
* Maintaining a strong focus on safety at all times.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Prior experience working with boilers or in a maintenance-related role;
* Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities;
