About the role
This casual Pharmacist role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hospital Pharmacy Service at Braeside Hospital.
The Pharmacist will work in accordance with established procedures at each site, using judgment and discretion for work organization.
The role requires operating in line with Pharmacy department policies, practice standards, and legislative requirements.
The primary responsibilities include:
Distribution: Accurate and timely provision of medications for inpatients, outpatients, and at discharge.
Clinical: Providing clinical pharmacy services to ensure the quality use of medications by patients and staff.
Education: Educating patients and staff about medication.
Support: Assisting allied health, medical, and nursing staff.
Qualifications, Work Experience, Skills, and Competencies
Commitment to HammondCare's Christian Mission and values.
Qualified in Pharmacy and registered with AHPRA.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Knowledge of Commonwealth and NSW Pharmacy laws and statutory requirements.
Problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Experience with Ipharmacy is desirable.
