We're seeking an experienced Technical Training Instructor to conceptualize and deliver engaging technical educational content. The ideal candidate will be a creative and dynamic individual who is experienced in delivering content both in‐person and virtually to audiences of any size, and in a manner that enables a safe and productive learning environment. Candidates should have a technical background, be knowledgeable in electrical concepts, and be someone who finds personal fulfillment in both helping others learn and contributing towards program improvements.
This role is full‐time onsite in Melbourne and requires flexibility for travel/offsite activities as needed.
What You'll Do
* Develop and design engaging content through immersive research, collaborating regularly with engineering, technical writers, process architects, business leaders, frontline employees, and learner end users.
* Foster a safe, professional learning environment by ensuring compliance with safety standards, providing hands‐on support, mentoring during nesting, and assisting learners, guests, and visitors.
* Conceptualize and customize training initiatives to align with organizational objectives, focusing on skill retention for diverse clients through individual needs assessment.
* Continuously evaluate existing training by collecting, reviewing, and sharing feedback with applicable business partners, with a primary focus on training improvement.
* Pursue technical knowledge and information to gain a deep understanding of Tesla products and processes by engaging in regular communication with trainers, engineers, business leaders, and frontline employees.
* Document learning objectives by engaging with new products and processes, recording pilot feedback, reviewing findings with experts/stakeholders, and auditing learner experiences to align with company standards, learning theory, and key performance indicators.
* Manage training logistics and administration.
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of combined experience in instructional design, technical writing, training, content development, and/or training facilitation, preferably in a high‐tech or product‐centric environment.
* Strong understanding of, and ability to critically apply, core concepts of training, curriculum development, and adult learning theory in the creation and delivery of content aligned with business needs.
* Proficiency or experience using content creation tools such as Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Photoshop, Visio, etc., or similar.
* High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for efficient communication.
* Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment where objectives adapt quickly to evolving industry needs.
* Japanese language skills are a big plus!
