Overview
The Southcare Aged & Extended Community Care division of The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Service delivers integrated, person‐centred care to the Sutherland Shire community. As a Nurse Manager – Aged, Rehabilitation and Extended Care, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across this diverse portfolio, including the Transitional Aged Care Service, outreach services, Aged Care Services Assessment Team (ASET) and inpatient aged care and rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities
* Lead service delivery, workforce management and continuous improvement, ensuring high‐quality, patient‐centred care across all settings.
* Coordinate with the Co‐Director to develop services, manage resources effectively and drive integration across community and inpatient services.
* Operate within established professional reporting structures; contribute to the Nursing & Midwifery Executive Team and the strategic priorities of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
* Facilitate evidence‐based practice and incorporate emerging clinical trends to support service improvement and change.
* Deliver financial management, including strategy development, implementation and achievement of performance targets.
Qualifications
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and a current driver licence.
* Recognised tertiary management qualifications or undertaking similar, with evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Recent broad clinical, operational and strategic management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate and incorporate emerging trends in clinical practice and service delivery.
* Strong leadership skills to motivate, inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational outcomes.
* Experience in change management principles and measurable outcomes.
* Financial management experience, including drafting and implementing financial strategies.
* Advanced verbal, written and negotiation skills, and proficiency in information technology platforms to prepare clear reports and business plans.
