The Role
ALS Geochemistry is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our sample preparation facility in Wangara.
This full-time, site-based role offers the opportunity to lead a small, established maintenance team within a mature and well-run operation.
The position will suit an experienced supervisor who values consistency, strong safety discipline, and being closely connected to the day-to-day performance of a single site.
You will have ownership of the maintenance function in a busy sample preparation facility, working alongside production and site leadership to ensure equipment reliability, safe execution of work, and smooth daily operations.
Day to Day
Responsibilities include:
Supervising a small maintenance team, including planning and scheduling work to meet operational requirements
Providing visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental management
Ensuring maintenance activities are completed to a high safety and quality standard
Proactively identifying and mitigating risk prior to work commencing, engaging with relevant stakeholders to implement effective controls
Working closely with production supervisors, facility management, and external contractors to support site performance
Managing purchasing and stock levels of machine and component consumables.
Contributing hands-on where required to support the team and maintain workflow.
The Essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
A strong personal commitment to safety and risk management
A relevant trade qualification (preferred)
Welding experience (favourable)
A current manual driver's licence (Class C)
Solid mechanical aptitude, with exposure to multiple trades or a willingness to broaden skills
The ability to work autonomously while providing calm, consistent leadership
Clear communication skills and the ability to engage effectively across all levels
A practical, solutions-focused mindset and strong work ethic
Proven experience managing a varied but predictable operational workload.
