The Opportunity
Monash University's Digital Transformation team is looking for an Operations Capability Lead to oversee the daily support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a range of cross-platform digital applications, while building the capability and effectiveness of high-performing teams. This role plays a key part in delivering the strategic direction of the Domain by driving operational excellence, enabling service delivery, and supporting evolving business needs.
Drive strategic planning and lead the delivery of complex programs, projects and digital services.
Manage resources, applications and system performance while engaging senior stakeholders and guiding teams through change.
Ensure systems and services are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
Oversee the adoption of tools, standards and processes across the organisation.
Support capability development and manage transitions from project delivery to business as usual.
Provide strategic advice as a subject-matter expert, contributing to the growth of specialist knowledge.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong people-first approach, proven leadership and operational management skills, and a track record of delivering complex programs using contemporary IT practices.
Strong planning, resource management and organisational skills in large, complex environments.
Experience leading high-performing teams.
Advanced analytical, consulting and communication skills enabling you to influence stakeholders, drive change and deliver IT-enabled business improvements aligned with strategic goals.
Ability to provide expert technical and strategic advice to support high-level decision-making.
