We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor who has a Quarry Manager's Certificate to assist on a pipeline of projects in Western Australia. You will play a key role in the success of our company by discussing the status of projects, identifying and resolving problems and ensuring the client is kept knowledgeable and up to date about the current state of works.
Main duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Supervision and coordination of all civil construction activities, including earthworks, concrete structures, roadways, rail and utilities,
* Monitor construction progress, ensuring it aligns with the project schedule and quality standards,
* Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve any technical issues and ensure project objectives are met,
* Effective programming of daily works according to project compliance with all relevant legislation, specifications, regulations and standards,
* Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions and ensure that all operations meet the environmental, safety and legislative requirements,
* Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching, mentoring, and training of staff,
* Maintain accurate records of construction activities, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope,
* Enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel,
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
Position requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience working within a Mining and Production Environment,
* Current Unrestricted Quarry Manager Certificate,
* Schedule 26 Statutory Position Certificate holder,
* Experience in an open pit mining environment,
* Sound knowledge of plant and equipment best practice and operational performance to meet production targets in a Safe and efficient manner,
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
* Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and safety regulations,
* Competent in the use of software such as MS Project, P6 and Pronto.
