About the opportunity
Mercy Palliative Care is fully accredited with the RACP and GP program. Our service operates in the Western region of Melbourne and provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to palliative care. We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life‐limiting illnesses in their homes as well as complex symptom management at Werribee Mercy Hospital Inpatient unit. We currently care for over 500 patients across the region in their own homes. Our service is a recognised rotation with the college.
Community Palliative Care & Geriatric Registrar – 12‐month rotation (6 months Community Palliative Care & 6 months Geriatric Medicine)
Position is fully accredited and supported by our team of palliative care physicians and Geriatrician who provide excellent supervision and teaching.
Pool car provided.
Specialist Training Funded (STP) position. Incumbent needs to be enrolled in Specialist Palliative Care Training.
Our service has offices in Sunshine, Parkville and Werribee. Provide care to a broad catchment across Melbourne's Western suburbs. Recognised rotation with the college.
Semester Dates
Semester 1: Monday, 1st February **** – Sunday, 1st August ****
Semester 2: Monday, 2nd August **** – Sunday, 6th February ****

About You
Must have valid APHRA medical registration.
Full time position.
Excellent experience for an advanced RACP trainee as a 6‐month elective for the inpatient role.
Will work as part of a multi‐disciplinary team.
Enthusiasm to learn.
