IP Recruitment are currently seeking a Junior Payroll Officer to work with one of our manufacturing clients located in Welshpool. You will be working with a small but busy team in the Accounts department. The successful applicant will receive an immediate start and will receive full training and 38 hours per week.
You will be required to carry out a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Processing end to end payrolls using Visipay software, importing payroll information into our payroll software and maintaining payroll records.
- You'll have an eye on service delivery, looking out for opportunities to make improvements to our client's processes and procedures that can support the ongoing development of their team.
- You'll ensure that our client is diligent and compliant with record keeping, keeping their client payroll manuals up to date and ensuring that manual checks and calculations are accurate and that they are compliant with Data Protection regulations
To be considered for this role all applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:
- Have a current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
- Have great written and spoken English.
- Be neat and presentable.
- Have great computer skills including Microsoft Suite.
- Willing to learn processing Australian payroll, payroll related legislation, taxation rules and superannuation requirements
- Customer focussed with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Great numerical skills with a strong emphasis on quality and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks with a focus on service delivery.
