The Financial Controller is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations, integrity and performance of the organisation. Reporting to the CEO, this role provides strong financial governance, ensures compliance with statutory obligations, leads financial reporting, and drives process improvement across the Finance function.
The Financial Controller is instrumental in supporting strategic decision‐making, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring the organisation maintains strong financial health during periods of growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day to day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial outputs.
* Lead, mentor and develop the Finance team, setting clear standards and expectations.
* Act as the primary point of escalation for financial matters.
* Establish and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
* Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
* Deliver timely and accurate management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Coordinate year‐end audit requirements and act as the key contact for external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards (AASB/IFRS) and statutory reporting obligations.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
* Lead the annual budgeting process, including development of departmental budgets.
* Own rolling forecasts and provide financial modelling to support strategic decisions.
Cashflow, Treasury & Risk Management
* Oversee cashflow management, working capital, and treasury functions.
* Ensure appropriate risk management practices are embedded across Finance.
* Support the CFO with funding, banking relationships, insurance and commercial agreements.
Process Improvement & Systems Management
* Drive automation and optimisation initiatives across financial processes.
* Oversee finance systems, ensuring data integrity and effectiveness of tools and workflows.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
Business Partnering
* Provide financial insights and guidance to cross‐functional teams.
* Partner with senior leaders to analyse performance, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend actions.
* Support commercial decision‐making, pricing, contracts and investment evaluations.
* Build strong relationships with operational teams to promote financial accountability across the organisation.
Key Skills & Experience Required
* CA/CPA qualified with extensive experience in financial leadership roles.
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance in a growing organisation.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of statutory compliance.
* Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading financial operations end‐to‐end.
* Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial reporting.
* High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement
* Experience working within the technology, managed services or cybersecurity sector.
* Familiarity with ANZ regulatory environments and multi‐entity structures.
* Experience implementing finance systems or leading digital transformation initiatives.
* Commercial contract and pricing experience.
