What You'll Be Doing
The Environmental Services Assistant position will provide support to the nursing team in non-clinical care of the patient regarding patient lifting and transportation. They will be an active team member and support emergency response teams, collection and delivery of specimens, equipment, consumables, restocking of supplies and consumables. The position will also be required to undertake cleaning and waste duties as assigned, may include general cleaning, terminal cleaning of internal areas and external areas to ensure a high level of cleanliness is provided and maintained in all areas of the hospital grounds to minimise health care associated infections.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in a similar position in a health care facility.
* Demonstrates competency in the reading and writing of English to enable required duties to be performed safely and to acceptable levels.
* Demonstrates ability to push, or pull mobile waste bins, patient beds and trolleys frequently.
