About the Opportunity
As an Out of School Hours Educator (Diploma qualified), you will support cohesive operations of our Out of School Hours programs, including taking on the role of Responsible Person to support the Out of School Hours Coordinator. You will assist in facilitating a responsive and dynamic program for school aged children attending our out of school hours programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the design, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based OOSH programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework.
* Prepare documentation for each child's learning and development in collaboration with the team.
* Maintain a safe, caring and stimulating environment in line with child safety and wellbeing requirements.
* Build strong and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and school communities.
* Assist in the set up and pack away of the indoor and outdoor environments, ensuring resources are safe, well-maintained, and regularly cleaned.
* Assist with staffing arrangements and rosters for all OOSH programs ensuring ratio compliance.
* Support administrative tasks, including school holiday bookings and family communication.
* Contribute to quality improvement, compliance, and Strategic Inclusion Plan (SIP).
* Maintain current sector knowledge by engaging in professional development, ongoing training, networking and professional activities.
* Adherence to principles of the National Model Code (Taking Images or Videos of Children While Providing Early Childhood Education and Care), Early Childhood Australia's Code of Ethics and Anglicare's Code of Conduct.
About You
* You hold (or are actively working towards) an ACECQA‐approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
* You have experience working with children in Early Learning environments.
* You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and upholding their safety and wellbeing at all times.
* You have a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework, and the My Time, Our Place Framework for learning.
* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* You bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to your work, along with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
* You are committed to Anglicare's mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity, and compassion.
* You hold a current ACECQA approved First Aid certificate – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (HLTAID012)
* You have current ACECQA approved Child Protection qualifications (CHCPRT002, CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT026).
* You have a current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card – ACT.
* You have completed the foundation modules of the National Child Safety Training provided by the Australian Centre for Child Protection (prior to employment)
