Smart Apprenticeship Solutions is seeking a motivated and relationship‑driven Employment Officer to recruit, place, and mentor apprentices and trainees across a range of industries.

This role offers variety, purpose and the chance to make a real impact on the next generation entering the workforce.

If you enjoy building relationships, guiding young people, and working within a high‑performing team, this role is an excellent opportunity.

As an Employment Officer, you will attract and engage host employers, recruit quality candidates, and provide ongoing mentoring to apprentices and trainees to support successful completion of their training contracts. You’ll manage a caseload, oversee rotations, maintain compliance, and build strong networks with schools, industry, and community partners to promote career pathways.

We deliver innovative group employment and training solutions in multiple locations across eastern Australia, helping organisations and apprentices thrive.

Key responsibilities

* Build and maintain strong host employer relationships across multiple industries

* Promote services and achieve placement and sales targets

* Source, interview, assess and shortlist candidates

* Provide career coaching, advice and interview preparation

* Represent Smart at expos, schools, and industry events

* Manage a caseload and conduct performance reviews and site visits

* Complete all contracts, support and encourage a safe working environment and monitor training progress.

* Provide high-quality service to hosts, apprentices, schools and stakeholders

About you

* Results-oriented with strong compliance awareness.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

* Friendly, well-presented and professional.

* Strong administrative and time-management capability.

* Patience and emotional intelligence when supporting younger workers.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

* Current Working With Children Check.

* General Construction Induction (White Card) desirable
