About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team at Assaggini in Mornington, VIC. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of delicious Italian-inspired dishes in our vibrant kitchen. What you'll be doing
* Preparing, cooking and plating a variety of Italian-inspired dishes to the highest quality standards
* Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
* Collaborating with the Head Chef to create innovative new menu items
* Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to
* Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff as required
* Contributing to the overall success of the restaurant through excellent teamwork and customer service
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment
* Proven expertise in preparing and cooking a variety of Italian-inspired cuisine
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Food safety and hygiene certification
* Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers
