We're seeking a Senior Finance Analyst / Commercial Analyst to join our Australia Finance team, based in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure across the business at a pivotal moment, as we scale rapidly and continue to establish our operations in Australia.

This role is ideal for a high-performing, commercially minded analyst who can own day-to-day financial operations, deliver accurate financial reporting and insights, and act as a trusted business partner to our Commercial (Sales), Marketing, and Supply Chain teams. A strong growth mindset, the ability to drive process excellence, and a sharp sense of commercial rigor are essential.

Reporting to the Head of Finance – Australia, this role is based out of our Sydney office and plays a key part in supporting informed decision-making across the business.

What you'll do:

Financial Results

* Manage the month end-to-end process including accruals, reporting and insights, P&L variance analysis, and oversight of balance sheet reconciliations
* Support statutory reporting, financial governance, and audit processes
* Prepare presentations and reports for management, highlighting business performance, metric tracking, market trends, and strategic opportunities

Planning & Analysis

* Support monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
* Monitor and provide budget insights and reporting
* Monitor and analyze daily/weekly/quarterly performance and feed insights into planning processes

Business Partnering

* Provide commercial support for growth opportunities, including gathering and analyzing financial data, sales trends, and market conditions to inform business strategies
* Partner with Sales and Marketing on pricing and trade‑investment programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue requirements
* Partner with Marketing on A&P budget development, management, and tracking
* Partner with Marketing and Innovation teams on NPD processes
* Provide financial modelling, analysis, and commentary on new projects and initiatives, including scenarios and forecasting commercial outcomes
* Own data‑driven decision‑making for future growth

Financial Operations

* Oversee invoice processing, monthly receipt accruals, and maintain relevant purchase orders, contract registers, and reports
* Support order‑to‑cash (OTC) processes
* Prepare the monthly GST return
* Prepare the weekly Excise return

What you'll bring:

Education

* Bachelor's degree in commerce/finance
* Qualified Accountant — CPA/CA or CIMA
* Minimum 3 years' experience post‑qualification

Experience

* Experience in global FMCG, fast‑paced environments (liquor experience highly desirable)
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficiency with data analysis tools: Intermediate–Advanced Excel, ERP modelling, Power BI
* Ability to embrace and drive change within the business
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts
* Experience with financial modelling and forecasting

Systems

* Prior experience working within large ERP systems such as QAD is desirable but not essential
