Executive Director - New Bundaberg Hospital Project, HES2, Executive Services, Bundaberg Hospital - H2512WB672621

Bundaberg Hospital is leading one of Queensland's most significant health infrastructure transformations through the delivery of the New Bundaberg Hospital. This landmark project will shape health services for the Wide Bay region for generations to come. We are seeking an outstanding senior executive to provide leadership during periods of leave relief. This role will guide the project through critical phases of planning and delivery, ensuring strong governance, strategic direction, and executive oversight.

Your Opportunity:

* Provide strategic executive leadership for Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) in the capital infrastructure planning and construction of the NBH and other capital projects, ensuring high levels of performance and compliance in the planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Develop and maintain relationships with the NBH project team and Managing Contractor to ensure effective and timely delivery of the capital building and construction components of the NBH project, specifically ensuring that these components meet the required health service delivery objectives.

What we're looking for:

* Demonstrated capital project and change management skills including managing relationships with consultants/contractors, and achieving results within time, cost and scope constraints.
* Demonstrated innovative and visionary leadership in managing teams to achieve major strategic initiatives including the ability to plan contemporary health services and resolve complex organisational problems associated with competing demands and priorities within a growing health service.
* Highly developed managerial proficiency, including the ability to apply financial, human and physical resource management and governance skills to ensure resources are optimally allocated in meeting defined goals.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven advanced financial skills.
* Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to positively influence others in a significant environment of organisational transformation and performance accountability.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management at both a broad and specific level.
* The role requires a successful track record in leadership within a large and complex organisation, preferably in a healthcare setting, a strategic and comprehensive approach to planning and decision making, and the ability to manage a significant budget and a large and diverse workforce.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Whilst not mandatory, appropriate and relevant tertiary and / or business qualifications are desirable and will be highly regarded
* Appropriate management and leadership experience and advanced training in business or healthcare are desirable.
* Broad understanding of health care issues, including the role of academic medicine with researchers, practitioners and educators.
* Thorough knowledge of modern management principles, practices and methods.
* Considerable knowledge of a university hospital/ health and knowledge precinct is desired.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive salary between $7, $8,470.30 p.f., motor vehicle allowance, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HES2H) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., for periods of leave relief as negotiated by the Line Manager until December Applications will remain current for 12 months).
