We are seeking an experienced
Construction Director
to lead the delivery of large-scale
residential volume builds and township developments
across the Central West region of NSW. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing construction strategy, operational performance, compliance, and profitability across multiple residential projects.
The role is primarily
office-based in North Sydney
, with
occasional travel to project sites
as required.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across all residential construction projects
* Oversee delivery of
high-volume residential builds
, masterplanned communities, and township developments
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
* Lead, mentor, and manage Construction Managers, Project Managers, and site teams
* Establish and enforce best-practice construction processes, systems, and controls
* Ensure full compliance with
NSW building regulations
, WHS requirements, and company standards
* Manage contractor, consultant, and supplier relationships
* Oversee project feasibility, programming, cost control, and risk management
* Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on project performance, risks, and opportunities
* Drive continuous improvement across construction methodologies and delivery models
Requirements:
* Current NSW Builder's Licence (Essential)
* Proven experience in a senior construction leadership role (Construction Director / Head of Construction / Senior Construction Manager)
* Strong background in
residential construction
, particularly
volume builds and large-scale developments
* Demonstrated experience delivering
townhouse, subdivision, and masterplanned community projects
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large budgets and margins
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of NSW construction legislation, NCC, and WHS requirements
