The Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Marketing team for a mid-senior level Graphic and Digital Designer for a 12 month parental leave contract. As a key player in the design team, your responsibilities will include crafting creative comms for both print and digital from concept through to finished art across all channels including print, digital, social, re-marketing, display advertising and EDMs etc. You will have the ability to work to a high-level, across various projects both autonomously and within a team and will be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), with the ability to work on projects from concept through to print and/or web ready finished art. The Graphic and Digital Designer position will suit someone who enjoys working independently to a brief, as well as collaborating with other designers, members of the marketing team and external agency partners.
Key responsibilities in the position will include:
* Work with Marketing and Sales teams to design concepts and creative for brand, seasonal and promotional marketing comms and roll it out across all channels - web banners, social assets, EDMs (design and build) and paid media.
* Adhere to brand guidelines to ensure designs build upon and reflect the existing brand identity
* UX and UI Design for website
* Workshop ideas, and concepts for campaigns with creative flair.
* A solid understanding of typography principles and best practice.
* Multitask and manage timelines within a deadline-driven environment.
* Basic video editing for social content and Youtube.
Qualification & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years experience in a Graphic Design role.
* A tertiary qualification in Visual Communications Design or similar.
* Experience in UX and UI Design for web is essential
* Strong demonstrable experience in Adobe Creative Suite, and other creative tools.
* Experience in designing digital campaigns that include but are not limited to EDMs, social media posts, paid media and web banners.
* Experience in preparing files for print.
* Experience in photoshop re-touching.
* Figma, AfterEffects and Asana experience is desirable but not required.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
