Innovative Market Leader | Mining Industry | Field Service Technician with chance to Develop into Regional BDM
**Your new company**
Our client, with whom we are working exclusively, is a global provider of smart electronic and electrical solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and mine sites in the underground mining industry. They design and manufacture equipment that delivers visibility, supports automation, and provides a platform for condition and asset monitoring of underground equipment.
**Your new role**
Is to provide on-site and off-site customer support, and to assist the production team as required. With clients based across the State, travel WILL be required, however, most of your clients will be Hunter Valley based with a requirement to attend the Central West and Illawarra regions quarterly.
This is a permanent opportunity with an NSW-focused client base.
**Key Responsibilities**
On-site support, including but not limited to:
- Installations, repairs, and calibrations
- Equipment testing and problem-solving
- Assist with client customisations
- Customer training Production support
- Load software into products
- Production repairs
- Production testing
- Provide technical training to the production team
- Approve selected technical products prior to despatch
- AS 3800 Competent Person Site Service Report
- Complete site service report for every visit to a mine site or workshop location Warranties
- Warranty assessments and approvals
- Complete or coordinate warranty repairs Non-Compliance
- Assist with completion and management of the Quality Control System
- Assist with non-conformance documentation and resolution
**What you'll need to succeed**
You are a passionate individual with a background in mining or field service for the mining industry. You are genuine and very self-driven and thrive on achieving results through solution-based outcomes.
The role would suit someone looking to make a career out of this position as the company encourages long term growth and development for their staff and backs them in achieving this.
You also possess skills, experience and knowledge of the following:
- Must have an Electrical Trade Certificate
- Must have worked for an OEM or on mine installation
- Must have excellent knowledge of the Coal Mine Health and Safety Regulations
- Must have excellent knowledge of Explosion Protection techniques for electrical equipment in underground mines
- Must be confident and competent in computers and computer systems
- Must possess excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, and be a confident and savvy conversationalist
- Must have a current NSW Driver's Licence
