Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in a unique public healthcare organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the statewide pharmacy leadership team to provide timely procurement and delivery of medicines and other products to support the safe and effective provision of healthcare to patients.
The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmacy services, including clinical dispensing and distribution, packaging of pharmaceuticals, inventory management, technical training of staff, and organisation of daily workloads. They will also monitor quality of work and/or preparation/manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, working closely with the AHB supervisor for the area and supporting the Pharmacy Manager to ensure the provision of safe and cost-effective drug therapy achieving optimal outcomes for patients.
