About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant & Paralegal to support a dynamic Legal Services function within a large and community-focused organisation.
This role provides high-level executive, administrative, and paralegal support to the General Counsel and Legal Services team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of legal services, contributing to governance, compliance, and organisational effectiveness.
This is a full-time temporary opportunity commencing immediately, initially offered for a period of four months.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide executive support including calendar management, correspondence, reporting, research, and document coordination
* Assist in the delivery of legal services through business improvements and streamlined processes
* Coordinate procurement activities including engagement of external legal providers and budget tracking
* Support legal and operational deadlines through reporting and workflow coordination
* Act as a key point of contact for enquiries, delivering high-quality client service and advice
* Manage and triage legal requests across the organisation
* Undertake paralegal duties such as legal research, drafting documents, preparing briefs, and managing simple legal matters
* Liaise with external counsel, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
* Represent the organisation in minor legal proceedings where permitted (e.g. tribunals)
* Supervise and support an administrative team member

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate sound judgement, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Key Requirements
* Experience providing executive assistance at a senior level within a legal environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
* Experience in procurement processes and budget monitoring
* Knowledge of governance frameworks, legislation, and compliance
* Demonstrated paralegal experience including legal research, drafting, and document preparation
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
