Queensland Corrective Services is looking for Custodial Correctional Officers (CCOs) who are committed to making a difference in other people's lives. This is a continuous applicant pool, and we are hiring for CCOs in two of our centres located at Spring Creek near Gatton.Salary per fortnight: $3,601.39 to $4,393.13 (includes shift allowances and superannuation)Salary per annum: $93,956.32 - $114,612.78 (includes shift allowances and superannuation)How do I apply?You will need to complete an online application which includes a current written resume. If you are successful, these are some of the activities you would do:Induct prisoners into the centre.Staff prisoner accommodation units.Support and oversee prisoner attendance at vocational training, education & employment.Support engagement in cultural programs.Create file notes and reports for case management.Operate control rooms.Undertake perimeter surveillance and searches.External escorts.About Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre (men's) and Southern Queensland Correctional Centre (women's)The Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre is currently under construction.When complete in 2024, it will be a men's facility that will focus on rehabilitation to reduce offending.Southern Queensland Correctional Centre is a women's facility that provides high security placement accommodation for sentenced and remand women that are classified as high or low security.More information about QCS and roles at Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre:Visit: Unlock Your Potential | Queensland Corrective Services (corrections.qld.gov.au)Phone: 07 3565 7696Email: SQCPS2Recruitment@corrections.qld.gov.auApplications to remain current for 12 months.Job ad reference: QLD/520233/23Continuous Applicant PoolOccupational group: Emergency & Protective Services
